- Chad and I are in the process of adopting a Caucasian infant through Bethany Christian Services Agency. We are so very excited! Waiting on the Lord's time takes a great deal of patience for us. Please pray that we will receive strength from the prayers you are sending up on our behalf and that the Lord will renew our strength through faith and understanding.

1/3/2010: Preliminary application and statements of faith sent to Bethany Christian Services
1/29/2010: Educational class at Bethany--2 hours
2/5/2010: Educational class at Bethany--2 hours
2/1-2/15/2010: Completed online educational classes--6 hours
2/12/2010: Preliminary application approved. Received self-study questionnaire
2/15/2010: Received formal application to complete
2/23/2010: Discover Adoption informational meeting at First Baptist Church Buford
2/23/2010: Formal application submitted via web to Bethany
2/25/2010: Self-study questionnaire, online classes certificates, CPR certification, and formal application fee mailed to Bethany
3/3/2010: Home Study paperwork. Information being compiled.
3/6/2010: Begin work on adoption profile book.
3/12/2010: Meeting with our adoption specialist at Bethany. Turned in most of the Home Study paperwork except for medical records.
3/15/2010: Inked fingerprints for FBI Criminal Record Check
3/16/2010: Mailed FBI Criminal Record packet to FBI in West Virginia
3/17/2010: Live scan fingerprints for GBI Criminal Record Check
3/18/2010: Mailed health insurance documentation to Bethany for Home Study
4/4/2010: Profile book completed
4/5/2010: Individual interviews for Home Study; Formal application approved
4/6/2010: Physician appointment to complete medical paperwork
6/10/2010: Adoption home visit by adoption specialist
7/31/2010: Home study completed. Adoption profile uploaded to Bethany Christian Services website
12/16/10: Call from adoption specialist, Melinda, telling us we have been tentatively chosen by a birthmother in TN
12/29/10: Call from adoption specialist, Melinda, telling us we have officially been chosen by birthmother, Cristina, in Nashville, TN; baby girl to be born in February
1/10/11: Meeting at Bethany Christian Services, Nashville, TN office with Cristina (birthmother), Gayle (grandmother), Ana (aunt), Maria (Bethany), and Carolyn (Bethany)
2/2/11: Call from adoption specialist intern, Sara, to let us know that birthmother, Cristina, decided to parent her baby.
3/3/11: Call from adoption specialists, Catie and Sara, to let us know we have officially been chosen again by birthmother, Katrina. She is having a baby girl on 4/10.
3/9/11: Meeting at Bethany Christian Services, Atlanta office to meet Katrina. Meeting with Katrina, Catie (Bethany), Sara (Bethany), Stefanie (Bethany pregnancy counselor).
3/14/11: Katrina's 37 week doctor appointment at North Fulton Hospital. Meet mother, Becky, and her doctor, Dr. Vinokur.
3/23/11: Katrina's 38 week doctor appointment at North Fulton Hospital. 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced. Baby is estimated to weigh 7 lbs at this time.
3/30/11: Katrina's 39 week doctor appointment at North Fulton Hospital.
1/29/2010: Educational class at Bethany--2 hours
